Lift choice and tested solutions

Making the correct selections of size, capacity, speed, power system and door arrangement for vehicle lifts for cars and vans can be challenging – we give free expert advice from the outset. Good advice at an early stage can prevent costly mistakes which could be extremely difficult and expensive to put right at a later date. We offer a number of standard specifications suiting most passenger carrying residential and commercial car / vehicle lift applications. These are based upon our tried and tested solutions which can form an excellent starting point for discussion. However, should your requirements be of a more bespoke nature, we can offer non‑standard designs.

Lift regulations and standards

All our passenger carrying bike, car, van and commercial vehicle lifts meet the compulsory legislative requirements of The Lifts Directive, designed in accordance with the EN81/1or EN81/2 standards. Where the vehicle is carried alone, i.e with no passengers and/or the driver, can the lift system comply with the simple Machinery Directives. Generally we only supply vehicle lifts to carry the driver in addition to the vehicle, complying to the current UK legislation (EN81).
